Current problem: Imagine following situation: You are looking for a file, which you definitely know about having saved it on your computer, but you cannot find it there! Do you know such a problem? You are not alone! But why does it happen to people? Very simply – there are so many files, that one can get lost in the information forest.S

Solving approach: The huge masses of information stream by private PC users as well as by enterprises needs a proper structure to be handled. Since the folder structure of existing file systems is quite inflexible, many enterprises create an intern database to manage the data, which is very costly, creates working overhead for users and is not very user friendly.

We have a solution: Our main Product (Happy-Desktop) joins the flexible structuring features of modern data bases with an intuitive use of common data management tool like file manager (e.g. Windows File-Explorer) and mailing programs (e.g. outlook express). Therefore the searching time for needed information sinks enormously (from 100% to 20%) and the work with complex data amounts becomes much easier.

Happy-Desktop is an innovative product which would make the data management on your computer a lot easier. Happy-Desktop differs from other semantic desktop software by deriving the most information from the user behavior.

Our product (Happy-Desktop) makes possible the finding of data, which normally wouldn't be found. The suitable plug-ins for Happy-Desktop would also allow:

1. Management of information of different kind (like files, mails, bookmarks, contacts and more)

2. Merging of selected data structures of a network (e.g. in a company's intranet) to a shared knowledge base, where the collective intelligence of the whole organization would grow by itself – and with an optimal structure.

Happy-Desktop is a large data-grid which allows describing of data by editing the meta-data by many users. The existing data-base-systems are deficient for such complex task. Thus we developed new revolutionary concept (Multi-Isolation), which allows executing of transactions by using real isolation and having constant throughput rate. Multi Isolation gave us a new perspective of what is actually possible in semantic web. Based on this new knowledge, we designed a system, which will make collective intelligence possible – Happy-Desktop.

Milestones

Happy-Desktop is in the developed stage right now. The next component we are going to develop is a specialized data base (Category Data Base). It will be very well suitable for category searching within huge amounts of data. We anticipate the first executable prototype of local Happy-Desktop to be available till summer 2010.
